Dare to sail to new adventures

As Johnson (1785) mentioned, “All travel has its advantages. If the passenger visits better countries, he may learn to improve his own, and if fortune carries him to worse, he may learn to enjoy it” (p. 76). With this statement, he emphasized that traveling is one of the best ways to reach the goal and visiting different countries provides advantages. Someone who decides to travel abroad depending on his purpose will be aware that he will have many advantages while traveling. In this way, travelers understand the importance of gaining different experiences. In my opinion, people can get a lot of benefits by traveling abroad such as learning new languages, and cultures and providing a network.

The first benefit of traveling abroad is acquiring communication skills. During the process of learning a new language, traveling abroad and being exposed to the foreign language that is spoken in that country is the best way to learn that language. You have to speak the language you want to learn from your waking up to falling asleep. It allows you to face your mistakes and cliches which you learned in lessons. In this way, your communication skills will be instinctively improved.

In the second place, since traveling abroad broadens our perspective on the world and improves our way of thinking, culture is an important factor in providing these features. When considering someone who is in a different country, during his travel, he may visit various historical and artistic areas. At the same time, he can encounter some works from those areas and learn about their historical and artistic knowledge, so visiting those places will also contribute significantly to cultural experiences. Additionally, food culture, spoken language, folklore dances, and traditions of the local people will also contribute to cultural achievements. Therefore, during travel, individuals will be able to think as if two different people in one body with the culture of the country that they visit.

Finally, providing a network abroad is quite possible. There are several advantages of networking such as meeting someone new, referencing, and introducing yourself and your brand. It shows differences depending on your interests or job choices. For instance, you are traveling a country, and you find networking areas like a computer company. Moreover, you can start working there and then maybe you can take new offers from other companies. Therefore, by working in these areas, you can improve your networking skills and increase your job opportunities.

All things considered, human beings can gain numerous advantages when traveling abroad in terms of acquiring new languages, and cultural experiences and enlarging their social environment. Although there are many ways to learn a foreign language, subjecting yourself to the mother tongue spoken in that country is the most efficient method. Besides, culture has a key role in both widening viewpoints and refining cognitive abilities. Furthermore, networking ensures a few benefits, including the possibility of meeting new people, making references, and acquainting yourself and your trademark. Keep in mind that traveling abroad offers many beauties for your life.
